Holding a Funeral or Memorial Service at UU Belfast

Facilities:

The church sanctuary has heat, but does not have air conditioning. There are ceiling fans, free standing fans, and air purifiers available, as well as large stained glass windows that may be opened.  There are several easily accessible restrooms throughout the building. The sanctuary is accessed by stairs or elevator.

Music:

The church has a piano and a sound system.

Technology:

We have two tv screens at the front of the sanctuary available for showing slideshows, photos, or videos. Our robust sound system can easily accommodate either live or recorded music. We have an AV system capable of recording your ceremony and/or broadcasting it via Zoom to remote guests. Please note the cameras for this service cannot be moved, but they are mounted at the front and rear of the sanctuary and can zoom and pan. Accessing this service requires trained church staff.

Parking:

The church does not have a parking lot. There is limited free street parking. Download the Downtown Belfast Parking Map. Parking maps are also available from the Chamber of Commerce if you wish to provide them for your guests.
