Elected Positions

Our Church Council functions as the church board of trustees, composed of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and at least four Members-At-Large. It is the principal policy forming-body of the church, managing and administering its business subject to the prime authority of the congregation.

Council decisions are guided by the church’s Mission Statement: To love boldly, foster belonging, nurture the evolving spirit, and act justly.

The Committee on Ministry (COM) consists of six members of our church who are elected at the Annual Meeting in May. Our mission is to “support and nourish the health and growth of the shared ministry of our church for its members, friends, and minister.” Some of our responsibilities include: promoting understanding of the concept and practice of shared ministry; evaluating the health of the congregation’s shared ministry; fostering understanding and practice of the congregation’s mission statement and covenant; assisting in the process of conflict resolution; exploring issues of concern to the minister; and addressing issues or concerns of the congregation and community.  We welcome input from everyone.
